Job Title: A&P Mechanic

Job Description

Join our repair station, dedicated to servicing small corporate and general aviation clients. As an A&P Mechanic, you will perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems to detect wear, defects, and other issues.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks according to regulations and safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in aircraft systems and components.
• Document all maintenance and repair work in accordance with FAA regulations.
• Assist with a variety of tasks around the hangar as needed.
• Follow maintenance manual criteria depending on the maintenance cycle.
• Engage in extensive electrical and engine-driven component troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

• Possess an A&P license with 2+ years of corporate, turboprop, or general aviation experience.
• Strong background in general mechanical work.
• Proficiency in aircraft maintenance, specifically with King Air and Pratt & Whitney PT6 engines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with King Air, Honda, Citations airframes, and P&W PT6's is ideal but not required.
• Textron product experience is highly desirable.
• Open to new military individuals with A&P licenses.

Work Environment

Focused on delivering a comprehensive 'one-stop-shop' experience for aircraft owners and pilots. Work alongside 18 colleagues in the hangar with minimal office staff. Enjoy a dynamic work environment that involves different types of planes and issues. Tasks are assigned by the lead, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility depending on workload. Benefit from paid holidays and strong employee retention.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
