Compliance and Contracts Specialist

Pay Rate - $24.50

Remote

We're looking for a dedicated Compliance and Contracts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing and enforcing contractual commitments, legal requirements, and company policies. This is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of federal and state laws, excellent analytical abilities, and the capacity to communicate effectively with executives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and adjudicate annual background checks , ensuring ongoing compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Oversee and adjudicate background check results , carefully reviewing findings, assessing job relevance, and making informed decisions.
  • Manage and consider all issues , aligning with company policies and legal requirements. You'll consult with stakeholders or legal counsel when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough and timely investigations , research, and provide recommendations for appropriate courses of action, including disciplinary measures, to minimize legal risk.
  • Consult with relevant stakeholders , including the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel/Assistant General Counsel.
  • Validate all clinical licensure for employees and contractors, both at hiring and through ongoing monitoring, to align with federal and state laws and client commitments.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from employees and managers promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of audits , including presenting to auditors and owning audit responses for regulators or clients.
  • Liaise with cross-functional leaders to gather input and coordinate projects and process improvements.
  • Oversee and adjudicate monthly exclusions monitoring for all employees and contractors, aligning processes with contractual commitments and healthcare standards.
  • Work cohesively with the Strategic Operations Team and assist with assigned projects.
  • Manage all processing of Independent Contractors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between vendors and various functional areas, clients, and TPAs.
  • Actively support and implement talent acquisition initiatives as part of company mergers and acquisitions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of experience working in a legal or HR environment.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team to achieve goals.
  • Advanced organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal employment regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Power Automate.
  • An analytical mindset that can identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to plan and execute impactful process improvements and programs.
  • Skills navigating multiple screens and applications and adapting to company technologies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity.
