HOW A FORKLIFT MECHANIC WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Responsible for the proper repair and maintenance for a large fleet of forklifts and related equipment of various brands (predominately Raymond)
● Repair electric forklift/chargers, electric utility vehicles/chargers, electric pallet jacks, diesel engine drive forklifts, gasoline engine driven tug, and electric man lifts
● Candidate will possess capable mechanic skills to perform independently and without any immediate supervision
● Schedules, prioritizes, inspects and repairs forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, etc., determines within prescribed value range, when a major component, assembly is to be repaired, rebuilt, replaced or discarded
● Required to maintain forklift fleet and training vehicles, and prepares written estimates on cost and labor time for corrective repairs

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: High School Diploma/GED
● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of the operating systems used in forklifts and associated hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
● Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
● Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to weld simple parts, ability to operate a forklift, power tools, wrenches, diagnostic equipment, and jacks
● Location: Springfield, Virginia
● US Citizenship Required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.13 - $29.90. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
