Job Description

Russell Tobin and Associates is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist for our global technology client, working remotely from the San Francisco Bay area.

Job Title: Internal Communications Specialist

Pay: $60.00/hr. to $62.00/hr. (Based on experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm PT

Location: Remote to San Francisco, CA ( Candidates MUST reside within a commutable distance to San Francisco to be considered)

Contract Duration: 6 month contract, possible extension

Responsibilities:

• Support Daily Operations: Assist the Internal Communications team with day-to-day tasks, including preparing internal announcements, managing communications calendars, and coordinating cross-functional updates.

• Content Creation: Draft, edit, and format internal communications such as newsletters, email campaigns, meeting materials, and intranet content to ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging.

• Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of internal events, including all-hands meetings, town halls, and team briefings, handling logistics, communications, and follow-up documentation.

• Information Management: Maintain organized records of communication assets, templates, and style guides to ensure easy access and consistency across internal materials.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather content, align messaging, and ensure timely delivery of internal communications.

• Employee Engagement: Help identify and share stories that promote employee engagement, culture, and organizational achievements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 - 8 years experience in corporate communications roles is required
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or equivalent and 4 years of industry experience in communications
• Experience working with executives
• Strong writer, requiring minimal editing; must have the ability to turn around internal communications drafts swiftly, and have a strong grasp of English grammar and proofreading skills
• Highly skilled in graphics design and in video editing
• Excellent organizational and project coordination skills
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem solving skills
• Highly experienced with productivity and collaboration applications, including Google Sites, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
