Job Overview

As a Principal Product Designer, you will lead the re-imagination of our Assisted digital products, guiding user-centered design activities and establishing UX strategy. You will work closely with Business and Product leaders to create innovative solutions that delight employees servicing customers.

Strategy

  • Drive the UX Roadmap and strategy framework across lines of business.
  • Promote design thinking and demonstrate its value to leadership.
  • Lead a team in creating enterprise applications, design frameworks, and visual libraries.
  • Implement ethical, accessible, and dynamic features, such as AI-driven recommendations and digital check-ins.
  • Collaborate with Engineering leaders to understand technological possibilities and constraints.
  • Partner to develop tech capabilities that enhance customer experience.

User Experience

  • Provide feedback on design reviews, focusing on the big picture and enterprise vision.
  • Create high-level UX assets like workflows, customer journey maps, and prototypes.
  • Work with User Researchers and other designers to ensure consistency.
  • Analyze research data to understand customer pain points and identify opportunities.
  • Influence leadership with data-backed design recommendations.

Relationship Management

  • Mentor and inspire designers, keeping up with industry trends.
  • Ensure solutions follow established principles and guidelines.
  • Collaborate to improve team processes and design practices.
  • Create an environment that fosters collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Degree in human-centered design, computer science, psychology, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in UX, digital strategy, or product management.
  • 2+ years working with Figma.
  • Proficiency in UI design principles and best practices.
  • Experience leading complex projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Exceptional portfolio demonstrating diverse design projects.

Additional requirements include being at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. The role is open to all T-Mobile office hubs.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay Range: $115,400 - $208,100 | Bonus Target: 20%
