Job Title: Software Integration Specialist (Evening/Night Shifts)

Location: Mountain View, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time Contractor (Through December 31st, 2025 – Possible Extension)

Department: Simulation Integration

Work Location: Onsite Only

Clearance: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Required

Shift Options (Subject to Change)

Option 1: Sunday–Thursday

  • Core Hours: 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM PT
  • On-Call: 10:00 PM – 12:00 AM PT

Option 2: Monday–Friday

  • Core Hours: 4:00 AM – 11:00 AM PT
  • On-Call: 12:00 AM – 4:00 AM PT

Note: While weekly hours are below 40 due to on-call responsibilities, contractors may expense a full 40-hour workweek.

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Integration Specialist to play a key role in deploying, integrating, and validating simulation systems that support the development and testing of next-generation autonomous electric aircraft. You will be working hands-on with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments, supporting critical software and system-level simulation activities across various internal and external platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate, validate, and deploy simulation systems for HIL and other system-level environments.
  • Support hardware/software integration and commissioning of simulation and test platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across software and hardware layers.
  • Document and manage discrepancies in deployed simulation systems.
  • Maintain configuration control and version tracking for simulation platforms.
  • Implement software updates and patches for deployed simulation assets.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to define and deliver simulation solutions.
  • Operate in an agile environment with shifting priorities and fast iteration cycles.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software/hardware integration or simulation development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with HIL/SIL simulations and system integration.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for simulation and integration tooling.
  • Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills in mixed hardware/software environments.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols commonly used in simulations.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace or flight simulation experience.
  • Experience with Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs).
  • Familiarity with aerospace communication protocols (e.g., RS-485, ARINC 429, ARINC 664).
  • Knowledge of avionics, aircraft dynamics, and control systems.
  • Background in developing or certifying integrated simulation and test environments.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Aircraft Avionics (FMS, TCAS, EGPWS, etc.)
  • Aircraft Systems (hydraulics, electrics, pneumatics)
  • Flight Dynamics (aerodynamics, stability, controls)
  • Command & Control (C2), ATC Systems
  • Navigation and Communication Systems (GPS, CPDLC, ACARS)
