Sterile Processing Technician
Vero Beach, FL
5 - 8's (Monday - Friday)

As a  Sterile Processing Technician , you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for surgical procedures. Your attention to detail, knowledge of medical terminology, and understanding of sterile processing techniques will contribute to the success of our healthcare team. • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Assemble and package surgical instrument trays and sets
• Follow proper aseptic technique to prevent infection
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure sterile supplies are readily available for surgical procedures
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the handling and disposal of hazardous materials

Sterile Processing Technician Qualifications:

• Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
• Strong understanding of sterile processing techniques and procedures
• Knowledge of physiology to understand the purpose and function of surgical instruments
• Ability to operate sterilization equipment effectively and safely
• Attention to detail to ensure proper cleaning, assembly, and packaging of surgical instruments
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals
