This position will receive an hourly differential (additional compensation) in addition to the base hourly rate.
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Responsible for supervising the daily operations of the clinical staff of a medical clinic. Acts as a liaison between the back office and other clinic departments. Mediates issues between back office staff and physicians as well as other departments in the clinic.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Samaritan Coastal Clinic provides primary health care for all family members from newborns to seniors through their family medicine and internal medicine providers, with a focus on compassion, dignity and respect. The health care team may include doctors, nurse practitioners, physician associates, behavioral health specialists, medical assistants and other clinic staff members working together to help patients maintain the best possible health. They encourage and offer preventive care including annual exams, health screenings and counseling regarding health and lifestyle. The Clinic also offers walk-in health care services to treat conditions that require immediate attention but are not considered to be life-threatening or severe enough to be cared for in the hospital emergency department.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required.
Previous medical back office experience/medical assistant training, or completion of a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant program required.
Two (2) years experience in a healthcare setting required.
Previous leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
Healthcare Provider BLS required.
